I finally took the time to figure out pricing for commissions--mostly. I need projects to work on to get myself in the groove, as I'm TOTALLY unmotivated and unprepared for Youmacon, and it's not even four months away. So! Copied and pasted from my selling journal [link] (Feel free to check it out, I have leftover earrings and things on there that I've made, as well as resales of various anime/manga items. If you're not on Livejournal but wish to make a purchase, either send me a note here, or post an anonymous comment with what you're interested in and your email address, and I'll contact you.)

Right now I'm offering the following types of commissions:
(Please check my gallery for samples of everything. Sorry, no digital commissions at this time.)


*~Drawings~*
~Portraits - $40 - This is a colored pencil bust drawing of a single person (must provide photo!) on 9"x10" bristol board, high level of detail to appear more realistic
~Inked drawing - $10 - This is a drawing penciled out, inked, pencil lines erased.
~Colored and inked drawing - $15 - This is a drawing inked and colored with colored pencils.
~Colored drawing - $25 - This is a drawing done in colored pencil (no ink), more detailed than the colored and inked drawing, completed with a background.
The prices listed above are for single characters, drawn on 9"x10" drawing paper, with no background unless specified otherwise. Add $3 per additional character. If you would like your drawing on bigger/smaller or heavier paper, please comment with what you have in mind for a new price quote. All items may be framed if you request it, but keep in mind it will greatly increase the shipping cost. All drawings must be prepaid in full.


*~Paintings~*
Paintings vary by size and materials used. The base price is $20 (8"x10" and smaller), but anything bigger will need to be quoted. Paintings can be done in all sorts of sizes (please keep in mind the larger paintings will cost a deal more to ship), in watercolor or acrylic. If you would like a painting, please comment with what you have in mind (including size) to get a quote. All paintings (except portraits) will be sketched out on paper first for your approval before being painted. All paintings require a deposit for materials after the sketch meets approval--paintings sized 8"x10" and smaller will require a $10 deposit, while anything larger will require a $20 deposit. The rest of the balance due will be paid after the painting has been completed. If you decide after the painting has been started that you do not want it, you do not get this deposit back. If you do not pay within a reasonable amount of time after the painting has been completed, it will be put up for sale either on here or at my next Artist Alley table.


*~Wood Burning~*
Wood burnings also vary a great deal based on size, the item being burned, the design being burned, and how it's finished; all items will be stained and glazed for protection. The base price for wood burns is $15 (for a 3"x4" box or a 5" circle plaque, just stained). Burnable items include simple jewelery boxes, cigar boxes, wooden purses, and plaques of varying sizes. Finishes include stain, paint, or both. If you would like a burn, please comment with what you have in mind (including size) to get a quote. All burns will be sketched out on paper first for your approval before being done. All burns will require a $7 deposit after the sketch has gotten approval. The rest of the balance due will be paid after the burn has been completed. If you decide after the burn has been started that you do not want it, you do not get this deposit back. If you do not pay within a reasonable amount of time after the burn has been completed, it will be put up for sale either on here or at my next Artist Alley table.


All items will be shipped from Michigan, USA, or are available for pickup at Youmacon for those more local.

I'm taking the next few months to work on my stuff for Youmacon (taking time off of WoW too! *gasp!*). So far I have the Princess Serenity burn I just posted, as well as some leftovers from Youmacon last year. I plan on doing a few more of the bigger more detailed burns, and I'd be willing to either commission or sell anything I've posted (so if you want to make an offer on anything, send me a note ).
